New York will be different: There will be spreaded a smell of sperm and sex!

New York this spring will be a little different, some more and some less enchanting. And the reason is quite amazing. A strange smell of hundreds of trees will spread through the city, and will remember the smell of sperm and sex.

And that smell, cause will be a pear tree, which is "present" in the streets of this metropolis, reports Telegraph.
The tree looks beautiful but extremely unpleasant odor issues, say New Yorkers. They explain that the smell is the same as "sperm combination of wind and rotten fish."
Trees are planted in the sixties, but are extremely resistant, quickly can grow and survive harsh conditions.
They are often called trees of sperm due to the characteristic of the wind at the time of flowering.
Doctor Eloj Rodriguez, professor of biology at Cornell University, said that the reason has to do with the organic amine compound. Experts compare it with the smell of human armpit.
The stinking smell produced by the Bradford pears is probably a combination of two amines - trimethylamine and dimethylamine - claims botanist Richard Baník.
However, the exact reason why the wood releases the smell as bad, scientists have not discovered yet.
Some believe that the reason may be even to the fact that numerous factories, hereby have attempted to remove the insects to the nectar from flowers.
However, others think that it is a way to attract butterflies and bees that pollinate flowers.
